As an attractive Latin woman, she was mostly offered roles in her acting career to either cast as a foreigner or just any pretty face on set but no major role. Rita Moreno broke ground for the Latino performances by shedding light on racial prejudices in the industry. Acting has a role model to many young generations that includes the turns of show that came up to air, such as “The Electric Company and The Muppet Show.”
Her efforts has so long earned her the National Medal of the Arts ( the nation’s highest honour for artistic excellence in 2009.
So what in return are you going to do in society to treat someone who has been rejected or far to ignored in the society.
